Joel Fernandez
Founder
Joel Fernandez is the founder of Living Nazareth High School. After a year in seminary in 2009, he spent seven years as a Catholic school teacher, working to help schools draw closer to the model of seminary and religious formation he believed should be available to every young person, not only those discerning a vocation to the priesthood or religious life.
Finding few schools that fully embraced that model in practice, he brought the call to his spiritual director and, after a period of discernment and preparation, founded Living Nazareth to bring it directly to students and families in Front Royal, Virginia. Read more in his own words on Our Story.
